This policy explains what personal data Dravya collects when you browse or order from dravya4u.com, why we hold it, and what you can ask us to do with it. What we collect is the same wherever you are; which company is responsible for it, and which law gives you your rights, follows your delivery region.
Who is responsible for your data
🇮🇳 Delivery in India
SD Ventures and Supplies, at Lalitaramam 13B, Ganapati Temple Road, Datta Nagara, Mysore 570025, Karnataka, India, is the controller of your personal data, and this policy is written to the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices) Rules, 2011.
🇺🇸 Delivery in the United States
SDVS Global LLC, at 2408 Indigo Drive, McKinney, TX 75072, United States, is the controller of your personal data, and this policy is written to applicable US federal and state privacy law, including the California Consumer Privacy Act where it applies to you.
What we collect
We collect only what an order actually needs:
- To deliver your order — your name, email address, phone number and delivery address, including the postal code.
- Your order itself — the kits you bought, the price charged, and the order and payment reference numbers.
- If you apply to be empanelled as a purohita — the details on that form, which are described on the form itself.
- Technical data — a one-way hash of your IP address, kept to limit abuse of our public forms. We do not store the address itself.
We do not sell personal data, we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing, and we do not use it to profile you or to make automated decisions about you. That is true in every region, and we do not treat it as something to be waived by a setting.
Your card details never reach us
🇮🇳 Delivery in India
Payments are processed by Razorpay Software Private Limited. Your card number, and where they apply your UPI PIN, CVV, bank password and one-time passwords, are entered on their own secure form and are never transmitted to, seen by, or stored on our servers.
🇺🇸 Delivery in the United States
Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc.. Your card number, and where they apply your UPI PIN, CVV, bank password and one-time passwords, are entered on their own secure form and are never transmitted to, seen by, or stored on our servers.
In both cases what we receive back is a payment reference, the amount, the method used (for example “card” or “UPI”), and whether it succeeded.
Why we hold it, and on what basis
Contact and address data is processed to perform the contract you enter into when you place an order. Order and payment records are kept because tax law requires us to keep them. The abuse-limiting hash is processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the site usable.
Who else sees it
- Your payment provider — Razorpay Software Private Limited for orders delivered in India, Stripe, Inc. for orders delivered in the United States: name, email and phone, so your payment can be processed and a refund traced back to you.
- Delivery partners — the name, address and phone number needed to bring the parcel to your door, and nothing else.
- Customs authorities — for a cross-border shipment, the contents and value declaration required to clear it.
- Our infrastructure providers — Cloudflare, Google Cloud and Neon, who host the site, the ordering service and its database. They process data on our instructions only.
- Government authorities — where we are legally required to disclose it.
Where your data is processed
Our database is hosted in the United States and our ordering service in Singapore. If you order for delivery in India, your data is therefore processed outside India under contractual safeguards with those providers. If you order for delivery in the United States, it may be accessed by our team in India for the purpose of fulfilling and supporting your order.
How long we keep it
Order, invoice and payment records are kept for eight years from the end of the financial year in which the order was placed — the longer of what Indian and US tax law require, applied to both so there is one rule rather than a record that exists in one country and not the other. Abuse-limiting hashes are discarded within hours. Empanelment applications that are not approved are kept for two years and then deleted.
Cookies and what your browser stores
We use no advertising cookies and no third-party analytics, so there is nothing here to opt out of. Your cart is held in your own browser’s local storage and never leaves it until you check out; clearing your browser data clears the cart. Your payment provider sets its own cookies on its payment form, governed by its own privacy policy.
Your rights
Wherever you are, you may ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to correct anything inaccurate, or to erase it where we are not required by law to keep it. Write to dravya@dharmaposhanam.in and we will respond within 30 days. We will not charge you for asking, and we will not treat you differently for having asked.
🇮🇳 Delivery in India
Your rights arise under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices) Rules, 2011. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India. You may also nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf.
🇺🇸 Delivery in the United States
Your rights arise under applicable US federal and state privacy law, including the California Consumer Privacy Act where it applies to you. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Federal Trade Commission, or your state Attorney General. California residents may also ask what categories of personal information we collected in the past 12 months; the answer is the list above.

Children
dravya4u.com is not intended for children under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us personal data, write to us and we will delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes we will publish the new version here and update the date at the top. Material changes affecting existing orders will be emailed to the address on the order.
